Years.

My birthday in 2 days. I will finally be the age that I have been telling people that I am for the last 2 years. forgetting how old you are is great as long as you forget in the right direction.

Play with Fire

You can teach a kid to play with fire, but you can't teach a kid to be perfectly still while you wave that fire around his head.

This one he made of me.

Night Lake Photography

Old Hickory Lake. 28mm lens. Moon rising from last week. Fishermen telling stories of losing rare Spoonbill Catfish on 2 lb test line. Another guy pulled up and spent a while taking pictures of his motorcycle with a flip phone. Pretty creative spot at the docks.

Dean Owens by the Lake

My Scottish friend Dean Owens was over in the US for the Americana Days here in Nashville. I have loved Dean's music for a while now. He used one of my photographs for his amazing "Into The Sea" album cover.

If you haven't gotten this record, than you should. I took the cover photo in the Caribbean Sea on vacation with my wife Lisa.

So while Dean was at my house for the day I went out with my old Kodak camera and shot some pics of him on Old Hickory Lake. They turned out to be pretty wild. lots of cool light flares reflecting into the viewfinder from the water and high sun.
